# RIP off GAME browsing

• Game defies the laws of probability. I saw 2's come up 20% of the time (probability should be 8%) when AI players win from it, and the higher probability 6 come up 5% when I would win (probability should be 42%), half of which was when a robber blocked me from winning. Stacking the dice against us is consistent. Have too many cards? A 7 is 3 times as likely to come up. AI players have too many cards? 7s don't come up. Either the programmers hate us or lack ability. Maybe its a good thing the site screw ups prevent me from using my paid account. Time to call my credit cared company .... the online version is destroying my love of the game.

@Gita399 There seems to be a deep misunderstanding on how probability works. Only if you throw two dice very often (to be exact indefinitely often) you´ll reach the perfect bell-curved distribution. In one game a lot of things can happen.

Not only can numbers occur frequently they can also never occur. Check out this article explaining well how often that actually will happen simple based on mathematics/probability.

• I agree. I have played the multiplayer many times and recorded the dice statistics and its true!

• Every time I play I always notice that the dice rolls are always so bias towards the AI, no matter which numbers I selected. It’s so rigged and unfair. WHY? Please let me know what can be done about this, it seems a lot of people have already complained about it.

• Its definitely rigged. Far too often the human player numbers don't come
until the robber is on them, then the robber is moved and hey presto, they stop. Not to mention AI ganging up on human player, and getting more resources when improbable. My last games I had all numbers covered except 2 and 10. last 5 turns before AI beat me by a point? Yep, 2s and 10s. They also entirely blocked in my first settlement.

The dice are neither rigged nor are there any malfunctions with the RNG.
Sequences of rolls as well as certain numbers not getting rolled can and will happen. This happens in real life and in the App.

If you want to learn more about probabilities, randomness and why only 50-90 rolls ( a CATAN game) won´t produce a standard distribution, please read the following articles:

Keep in mind. Thousands of games are being played daily on our platform. “Odd” results will happen and users will post them, creating the impression that every game looks like that. But (1) no one will ever post just a normal game without anything that will get them mad and or attention.

• @Administrator true. But the card stack is not a card stack either! 7s change drastically after a player gets a big lead. At least in single player mode. I have played over a thousand games and it is obvious! I just lost a single player game where I got stolen from 7 times in 7 rolls and then had resources to win and yet another 7 made me discard. I could have built two roads during that time but didn’t because I only needed to build a settlement to win and kept thinking this will stop. It is often quite ridiculous but usually stops in time to hold on to the win. I lost longest road and lost. There were 8 7s when I took the big lead. There were 18 when it ended and the AI players went from 4 points to 11!

Once or twice is bad luck. 14 out of 15 games is rigged.

@Doc-B. That's precisely ... wrong. Please read the attached article and watch the graphs: http://stungeye.com/archive/by_date/2013/12/17

• Simple denial refutes nothing.

Eight games in a row, my first time to eight resources, bang, a seven. That’s neither coincidence nor probability, it’s deliberate.

0

• @ravinarine I totally agree, it takes away the joy and interest of playing the game. FIX IT.

0

• @Administrator that is total bullshit, the game is biased, if it's impossible that you don't get any of your numbers in more than 15 rolls and the game only rolls the numbers you don't have.
