4 player game with friends?? Help!

I tried to invite 3 friends to play a custom base game match with me. I own the base game, and so does 1 of the friends I am inviting. It will not let me add a 4th player even though 2 of us own the game. Do all 4 friends need to own the base game to play with 4 people??

Exactly the same problem with me. Even if you can read in the page that you can play witn 3 or 4 players. A pity that the information is so bad also.

@KTsin42 yes, all the players must own the expansion you want to play for four players.
