4 Players Catan Universe

Hi, I would like to know if all players need to buy Catan to have a 4 player game, or is the host the only player who needs to have bought it and then adds any 3 other player he/she chooses? Thanks so much for the help!

Hi Nancydrew, in my case we are 5 and all of us own Catan the game extension, but only 4 join to the loby of the game. Could you help me to configure this?
