Buying the expansion "catan the game" is possible to play match with more then 4 players?

@Rumpelstilzchen Hi! I'm new! I didn't buy the game yet. I'm only playing the base game. I noticed that if I want to custom a match and play with my friends the maximum is 3 players. If I buy the expansion, will we be able to play 4 players? Do we all have to buy it? Or only the player that creates the match?

@El-Joselo Yes, 4 player and custom game are possible once you buy it. But you can only add players who also bought the game/ extension you want to play.

@ambro004 Nope. Some fans are lobbying for it, but considering all the bugs and connection issues Catan has sofar, it seems like inviting hell to your parlour to add anything else before these basic problems are fixed.
