    Past couple of days the game wont load after the loading bar complete. Just get the orange screen and after awhile this message

    An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was:
    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'canvas' of null

    @Tilly @MonkeyWrench

    Thanks for reporting. Could you please let us know the browser version numbers you're using? We just briefly checked on one of our test macs and Chrome and it was loading and running fine. We'll do some further testing as soon as we know more details.

    @MonkeyWrench

    Are you on OSX, too?

  • Hi Admin.
    info requested copied below
    Version 53.0.2785.116 (64-bit)
    Google Chrome is up to date.

    Thanks for looking into it! Would love to play more :)

  • Hi Admin,

    I'm on OS X Version 10.11.5.

    I'm running Chrome Version 53.0.2785.116 (64-bit), and also tried Firefox 35.0.1.

  • Hi Admin,

    I have been having the same issue for a week now. The page does not go further than the loading bar. Therefore, I am unable to play.

    OS X 10.11.6
    Chrome 53.0.2785.116 (64-bit)

  • The game is still not working for me :( It has been almost a month now.

  • @ElShrimpBoy Same here buddy :sob:

  • Still no update ?

  • This error occurs when Chrome fails to load WebGL for some reason. There are many reasons this might happen, but one thing to check is whether Chrome has disabled WebGL because of a problem with your graphics card (and/or its driver).

    1. Click in the address bar and go to chrome:gpu. This will give you a list of any problems that it has found with your graphics cards and, if you are getting this problem, it probably says something like "WebGL: Unavailable" somewhere on there.
    2. If WebGL is unavailable because Chrome has detected that your graphics card and/or its driver are problematic, you can override this and use it anyway (although you may, of course, get crashes). Click in the address bar again and go to chrome:settings and find the entry in there that says "Override software rendering list" and click the enable link under this. This tells chrome to ignore its list of problematic gpus/drivers and try to use it anyway. Exit the browser (make sure the browser is fully killed, not just that you have closed some windows) and restart it.
    3. Finally, go to the browsers advanced settings page and make sure "Use hardware acceleration when available" is ticked. (If you have trouble finding that setting, go to chrome:settings and type hardware in the search box at the top. Give it one more chrome reboot, just for luck.

    If you go to chrome:gpu you should now see that WebGL is enabled and catanuniverse.com should work. (Although of course, you are now running with a gpu/driver combination which Chrome thinks is dodgy so don't be too surprised if things sometimes crash.)

    Hope that helps. You could thank me by joining my guild: "The Friendly Settler" :-)
