@Fidgette It´s very unpleasant to meet players like that. My first game of online Catan was like that, and I was frightened to play again for months. But then I dared to try again, and I met mostly nice people since. Every now and then you encounter a very nasty person, but they are the exception, not the rule. Sooner or later all abusive players get reported and blocked.
@jink Are you using the browser version of the game? Please make sure to use a 64-Bit Browser to start the game. Also if you should run into issues while loading the game, please try to clear the cache of your browser and load the side again.
I figured if the site behaves better in incognito mode I'd clear the cache. I had to log on again, but now when I do I get the error twice (before and after loggin on), and after that I get a page that just says "Forbidden" in plain text.
@ionicfox The next paltform we want to adress are Andorid mobile devices. But we are defentely planning to release the game also on Steam. Unforutnaley i can´t give you exact info regarding the relase on Steam yet.
The PlayCatan forum had moderators broken up by section, only a few of them had access to all sections.
There were also special sections that are now hidden for server malfunctions, bug testers, blue crew (in game) moderators, mayors, and each city also had a secret room where the mayor could add citizens of his city.
This discussion convinces me of the German lack of humor and no sense for sarcasm.
Once upon a time, Robin Williams was being interviewed by a German reporter.
Reporter: "Mr. Williams, why do you think in Germany there is so little comedy".
Williams: "Don't you think you killed all the funny people back in WW2?"
Reporter: "No." (without taking any hint that Robin just cracked a joke)
The trading table sliding in front of the board can be annoying. Especially when the offers are continually for items I do not have in my hand.
Is there a way to not have the table sliding in front and taking over the screen?
EXACTLY!!! I have to stop playing after a while because the game gives me motion sickness!!! Between the trade board swinging up and down out of view and the view of the board lurching around for every number on every roll I'm queasy after about 15 minutes.
All you need now is some flashing lights to facilitate seizures and you can wipe out your entire customer base!
Where are the responses to all these complaints about the new game format? Do they just not care?
